Screenshots, scrolling capture and screen recording with a real timeline — plus an editor that opens the instant you shoot, and search that reads the text inside every capture you take.

Someone’s screen share. A locked PDF. An error dialog. A screenshot from three years ago. With Clarus, all of it is one hotkey away from being real text on your clipboard.
There’s always something on screen you’d rather not share — a name, an email, a number. Drag a pixelate box over it and it’s gone before you hit send.
Someone asks “how do you do that?” for the third time. With Clarus you hit record and do it once — clicks glow, keys show on screen, your voice comes along.
Record MP4 with your voice and the computer's sound together.
Add a camera bubble to put yourself on screen.
Show clicks and on‑screen keystrokes as you go.
A 3‑2‑1 lead‑in before recording starts.
Annotate directly on the screen mid‑capture.
Silence the mic or throw the take away instantly.
You recorded three minutes; the good part is twenty seconds. Trim it, split it, cut the middle out, speed it up — on a real timeline, without installing a real video editor.
An editor opens the instant you capture — and every mark stays an editable object you can move or restyle any time. Draw it, then change your mind — a mark is never baked in until you export.
Every capture lands as a card in the corner — copy it, save it, pin it on top, or open the editor. Or skip all of that and drag the card straight into a chat, an email, a folder.
All hotkeys are customizable.
Steps: add any item, hit pay —
dialog pops every time. Shot attached.

The core is free forever. Your first 30 days unlock everything, including the Pro tools - no card, and no sign-up to start capturing. After that Clarus keeps working for everything in the Free column and the Pro tools ask you to upgrade when you reach for them. See pricing for the split.

Only if you ask it to. Captures, recordings and OCR all run locally on your PC. Clarus checks for updates, and if you use cloud sharing it uploads the one file you picked — nothing else, and never on its own.
Yes, and it is entirely optional. Send any capture up and you get a short link to share, with an expiry or a password if you want one — and your uploads stay searchable by the text inside them. Clarus never uploads anything by itself.
